CASE · AI VISIBILITY · B2B CASHMERE
When buyers ask an AI for a
cashmere factory, it answers you.
Due Toscani is a B2B private-label cashmere and knitwear manufacturer in Prato, Tuscany. We engineered its site to be read correctly by the AI assistants its buyers now open before they search — so when a fashion brand asks "who makes private-label cashmere in Italy?", the assistant names Due Toscani and describes it accurately. Measured across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini on 16 Sep 2026, it appears in 61–67% of category answers, is named #1 for core buyer prompts, and is described with zero hallucinated facts.
For B2B, being named isn't enough — you have to be described right.
B2B buyers — fashion brands, boutiques, importers — increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI before they go looking for a factory: "who makes private-label cashmere in Prato?", "Italian cashmere manufacturer with a low MOQ around 50?". They act on the names that come back.
That carries two layers of risk. First, if the assistant never names you, the buyer never learns you exist. Second — and worse for a factory — the assistant can describe you wrong: confuse you with another brand, misstate your MOQ, misjudge your capabilities. The buyer reads that wrong answer instead of your website. For B2B, being mentioned isn't enough; you have to be described accurately.
Build the AI-readiness layer the store never had (~Aug 2026).
Before this work, the store had no AI-readiness layer — no structured entity data, no llms.txt, only a generic presence. We built that layer end to end so assistants could resolve exactly who Due Toscani is, what it makes and who it serves.
- llms.txt declaring the entity (Due Toscani — B2B private-label cashmere in Prato/Tuscany, legal name Federico Scatizzi, VAT IT02285360976), the key pages, and the capabilities (MOQ ~50, virgin + GRS-certified recycled cashmere, Shima Seiki WholeGarment, tech-pack / sketch → garment).
- Structured data — Product + Organization JSON-LD.
- Key content pages / buyer guides on the topics AI tends to cite — sourcing recycled cashmere, private-label cashmere manufacturing in Prato, high-quality cashmere production in Tuscany.
- Entity clarity — consistent legal name (Federico Scatizzi), VAT IT02285360976 and NAP across the web.
- Redirect / URL fixes, and a B2B marketplace listing on ItalianModa — an independent corroboration AI can cross-check (visible in the Google AI Mode and Gemini answers).
- Open robots.txt for AI crawlers (GPTBot / CCBot not blocked) plus a Yoast sitemap.
We claim the after, not a fabricated before.
We did not capture a numeric baseline before optimizing, so this case makes no "0 → X" claim and shows no numeric before. The one thing we can state truthfully about before is exactly this: the AI-readiness layer above did not exist prior to ~August 2026. Every number on this page is the measured after.
20 prompts, 3 engines, every cell scored.
We ran 20 prompts — 18 real buyer-intent prompts (no brand name) plus 2 direct questions about the company — through ChatGPT web, Google AI Mode and Gemini. Each cell was scored mentioned, cited or absent. The figures here are the 2026-09-16 snapshot; each number is tied to a specific prompt and engine, and can be re-run.
It doesn't win every prompt — and that's correct.
Not every prompt goes to Due Toscani. On questions about yarn sellers, a specific WholeGarment machine, or generic "knitwear" that doesn't mention cashmere or Italy, it doesn't appear — which is right, because it's a cashmere garment factory, not a yarn or machinery supplier. The visibility concentrates exactly where its B2B buyers are, not across every question.
#1 for the core buyer prompts, described accurately.
Across the two engines B2B buyers actually use, Due Toscani appears in a strong majority of category answers and leads the core prompts — and, critically for a factory, every direct description was correct.
- ChatGPT web — 11/18 = 61%; #1 for private-label cashmere in Prato, low MOQ (~50) / tech-pack, recycled cashmere in Tuscany, and a retailer catalogue.
- Google AI Mode — 12/18 = 67%; #1 on many prompts, citing both the company's own site and an independent B2B marketplace listing (ItalianModa, "verified").
- Gemini — 9/18 = 50%; #1 on the most direct cashmere-in-Prato prompts.
- Entity check (2 named prompts) — all three engines described Due Toscani accurately: right city (Prato/Tuscany), right MOQ (50), right materials (virgin + recycled cashmere), right technology (Shima Seiki), retail + private label — with no fabricated detail.
